Islam (Iss laam): the religion of submission to God alone, established from the time of Prophet Adam, taught by all Prophets and completed by Prophet Muhammad
Muslim (Moos lim): someone who has submitted to God in Islam
Allah (Al,laah): the proper Arabic name for God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth
Salah (Sal,laah): the formal, prayer which is required 5 times a day at least, and requires cleanliness before
Fajr (Fajar): the early morning prayer taking place well before the sun begins to rise
Dhuhr (Dhuh r): the midday prayer taking place just after the sun has reached it’s highest point in the sky
Asr (Asr): the afternoon prayer
Maghrib (Magh rib): the prayer taking place just after the sunset
Isha (Eeshaa): the evening prayer
