Basics of Islam

Who is Allah? Allah is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, the God of all the Prophets beginning with Adam and ending with Muhammad, may peace and blessings be upon them all.

Who was Muhammad? Prophet Muhammad was the last Prophet and Messenger sent to mankind from Allah. He was an Arab man who was well-respected and honorable who led his people away from pagan worship and is who Muslims worldwide imitate and follow. 

Who are Muslims? The term ‘Muslim’ means anyone who has submitted to Allah in Islam. Muslims are all over the world. They don’t come from any country in particular, and anyone can become a Muslim.

How does someone become a Muslim?

 To become a Muslim, you simply say:

‘I testify that Allah alone is to be worshipped, and Muhammad is His Messenger.”

Ash-hadu an laa Ilaaha il Allah, Muhammad ar Rasool Allah
