About Us

The Converts for Unity Purpose

We are a group of converts living in Ottawa, Canada who believe it’s time that converts came together to help build bridges. There are enough of us to advise every corner of the Muslim community in our city, and beyond about how to better support those new to Islam, and how better to introduce Islam to those who are interested.

If you are a convert to Islam and you aren’t yet in contact with us, please send us a message. We gather together to discuss what converts need and cannot represent you unless you tell us what you need, what your struggles are.

Converts for Unity will hopefully become a movement that can spread across the world, empowering converts to the religion to take prominent and important places in their communities, keeping their feet firm on the deen, and bringing even more people to know Islam.

We hope to keep holding events online and offline to connect converts to each other, to the community, and create the needed changes to improve Muslim communities to better support and love each other for the sake of Allah.
