Join your fellow converts/reverts in Islam in Ottawa to celebrate Eid ul Adha!
We will be meeting at Vincent Massey Park on Sunday, June 30 between 11 am - 6 pm. The part that is reserved for us is section J. (See below map)
Please bring:
your own food to eat, and a bit more to share
food to barbeque if you like
blankets, chairs etc as you need
It's a potluck style picnic and we will be providing some sports and games for the family.
After Eid ul Fitr, we hosted a fun party for our local convert Muslim sisters at a local party room Small children were also invited as we had fun games and crafts planned for them. We held a surprise mini-party for an expecting sister, and shared presents, a potluck dinner and a little dancing Alhamdulilleh. We plan to have a bigger event with unlimited attendees for Eid ul Adha.
If you attended the Eid party, please click below to share your experience with us!
We got together to help our new sisters struggling with dressing modestly and finding their style of hijab with a fun event where we shared modest clothing and great discussions and a potluck lunch. (
Muslim sisters and their families came together at Vincent Massey Park to share food and brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam. Children played games together and the good weather was enjoyed by all! We hope to make this event a yearly thing!
